Caldera is a public benefit corporation building Mesa, an AI platform for government’s hardest work. Public servants carry some of the most consequential work in the country, and they deserve tools equal to it. We spent years at Stanford’s RegLab building AI alongside more than fifty federal, state, and local agencies, and Caldera exists to bring that work to every agency that needs it.
The work of government keeps getting harder, and the teams doing it haven’t grown to match. We’re building AI that can be a real partner in that work.

Caldera is a Delaware public benefit corporation, so our directors are required by law to weigh our public mission alongside returns to our shareholders.
We chose the structure because building technology for government takes both: the resources of a company to build something that lasts, and a commitment to the public good written into how the company is run.
